The Lenawee Community Foundation is pleased to welcome two new people to our team.
Jenny Engle is serving as the Vice President for Development, while Spenser Warren is an AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) member, which is similar to a domestic version of the Peace Corps.
Engle is responsible for assisting individuals, businesses, and organizations in achieving their charitable goals, while providing stewardship and securing current and deferred gifts to build a better community. She is also learning about community needs and identifying resources to support the Foundation’s programs, leadership role, and grant-making. Over the next few weeks, she will focus on the Lenawee Cares program of the Lenawee Community Foundation.
Engle has several years of experience in development and alumni relations. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Jackson College, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University. She is a 25-year resident of Lenawee County, and is active with local nonprofit boards and KKE sorority. She is excited about her new role in helping people to achieve their charitable wishes for Lenawee.
Warren is working through the Michigan Nonprofit Association, in partnership with the Lenawee Community Foundation and its VOLUNTEER Lenawee! program, and the Lenawee College Access Network. Warren’s primary goals include recruiting and managing volunteers to support the needs of local schools and nonprofits, working with the Lenawee YOUTH Council, promoting resources related to post-secondary access and success, and maintaining the Lenawee County Resource Guide.
Warren is a lifelong resident of Lenawee County, graduating from Adrian High School in 2013 and Michigan State University in May, 2017. As a teen, he served as a member of the Lenawee YOUTH Council, Lenawee College Access Network, and Lenawee Community Foundation Board of Directors. Warren is filling the AmeriCorps position, following Alissa Reeder’s term of service, and is thrilled to return to the Lenawee Community Foundation to complete a year of service.
