Paula Trentman earns Certificate of Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership & Management

Way to go Paula Trentman!

Paula Trentman, Program Manager at the Lenawee Community Foundation, has earned the Certificate of Excellence in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Michigan State University’s Department of Community Sustainability.  Formerly the program was called Community, Agriculture, Recreation, and Resource Studies (CARRS) and the Society of Nonprofit Organizations.

The certificate was awarded upon completion of eight courses: Strategic Planning, Resource Development, Board Governance, Marketing, Mission Based Management, Social Entrepreneurship, Volunteer Management, and Strategic Alliances. This series of eight courses has been specifically designed to address the core competencies necessary to successfully lead and manage a nonprofit organization.

Paula Trentman has worked at the Lenawee Community Foundation for more than eight years. In addition to managing the grant making, she has assisted with Foundation programs, including the Lenawee YOUTH Council/Youth Leadership, VOLUNTEER Lenawee!, and Lenawee Imagination Library.

Next time you see Paula Trentman give her a high five, hug or a simple congratulations.  She along with the rest of our team are finding ways to improve their skills so that they can use them to better our community.  Congratulations Paula Trentman, we know you will use what you’ve accomplished to continue to be not only a great Program Manager, but even more importantly a great leader.
