No need for a clock or a calendar, there will always be opportunities for you make time to Volunteer!
What can you do in a year, a week, or a day? Every one of us has the same number of hours each day. We have the power to choose how we spend our time and possibly set aside some time to volunteer.
Are you experiencing the joy of helping others through volunteering? In 2013 87% of Michiganders volunteered by helping our neighbors, friends, and families. This service was valued at $5.4 billion!
Lenawee residents believe there is a greater need for charitable organizations than in the past. We believe that these organizations are more effective now than five years ago and that they play a major role in making our communities better. And, we back up our beliefs with money, nearly 90% of us contributed to nonprofits last year.
The Lenawee Community Foundation works to enhance the quality of life of the citizens of Lenawee County, Michigan For good. For ever. VOLUNTEER Lenawee!, a program of the Lenawee Community Foundation is your resource for volunteer opportunities 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
What can you do today with one hour? You can join Sam at Hospice of Lenawee, as she reads to patients at the Hospice Home. You can join Leslie as she walks dogs at Lenawee Humane Society. You can sign up to be a tutor with the Adrian Rea Literacy Center like Joe. You can stock shelves at a food pantry or help distribute fresh produce at the Salvation Army. You can get together a group of friends or family members and clean a park or roadside, organize donations for Goodwill, or find your dream volunteer job through VOLUNTEER Lenawee!
