ADRIAN, Mich., Mar. 18, 2025 – The Downtown Adrian Main Street Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of directors has set up a fund with the Lenawee Community Foundation (LCF) for the residents and business owners that were affected by the fire located at 115, 117, 121, and 123 West Maumee Street.
An initial $5,000 has been contributed to the fund from the DDA, which has agreed to match donations from the public dollar-for-dollar to $5,000. Additionally, the Lenawee Community Foundation has agreed to provide another $5,000 in matching funds.
“We are deeply saddened by the destruction this fire has caused in our community,” said Lenawee Community Foundation President & CEO Bronna Kahle. “The Lenawee County community is so generous, and the Lenawee Community Foundation is doing our part to lend a hand and support relief efforts in this time of unexpected need.”
“It is a devastating situation for some of our businesses and residents. Several residents lost everything,” said Director of the Downtown Adrian Main Street DDA, Jay Marks. “We moved quickly to work with the Lenawee Community Foundation to establish the fund and help with relief efforts.”
The overall goal of the Authority is to undertake public improvements and other activities that have greatest impact in strengthening the downtown area and attracting new private investments to the DDA area.
