Giving Options at the Lenawee Community Foundation

Whether giving a little or a lot — Every bit makes a difference for Lenawee County!

At the Lenawee Community Foundation, gifts of all sizes help to bring health, happiness, and hope to Lenawee County.

As a community foundation, we steward individual gifts, as needed, while pooling other contributions into endowment funds, which generate income that can be used to fund charitable activity in our community, in perpetuity.

This means your generosity today creates grant dollars that will benefit Lenawee County both now and forever.

Our experienced team is also fiscally responsible for being good stewards of donor gifts. Therefore, we effectively manage investments, grant funds, and honor donor wishes while ensuring that all money stays right here in Lenawee County.

How to Give:

  • Money: You can give money directly to the foundation. It can be a little or a lot—every bit makes a difference for Lenawee County!
  • Property: Sometimes people donate things like land or buildings to the foundation, for community benefit.
  • Stocks or Investments: Some people give stocks or investments instead of cash. These can be sold, and the money is used to help the community.
  • Will or Estate: You can also leave money or property to the foundation in your will. This means your gift will help the community even after you’re gone.
  • In-Kind: Lenawee farmers and hunters can contribute venison or gifts of grain, as a way to support our community.
