Learn. Lead. Make a Difference.
Studies show that nearly 60% of adult volunteers started giving back before the age of 14. Yet many young people simply don’t know where to begin.
That’s where Lenawee Youth Leadership comes in. Sponsored by the Lenawee Community Foundation and the Lenawee YOUTH Council, this summer day camp helps students discover their potential while building leadership skills, teamwork, and community pride.
At camp, participants explore Lenawee County, develop confidence, and learn about:
- Leadership and goal-setting
- Teamwork and communication
- Creative problem-solving
- Youth assets and community impact
Ready to take the lead?
Guided by trained facilitators, including youth who have attended in past years, campers take part in hands-on, decision-making activities that encourage them to think big, lead with heart, and make a difference.
Lenawee Youth Leadership is designed for students who want to grow as leaders, serve their community, and have fun while doing it.
Join us this summer for an unforgettable week of learning, service, and fun!

Leadership
A scary thing, right?
Only those who have the sight
Can lead everyone to the light
So what does it take to lead?
It means YOU have to plant the seed
You can’t be scared
If you are, you’ll lead everyone into despair
It’s a heavy burden to bear
Sometimes, you’ll be given the opportunity to share
You must be strong
You must be courageous
You must be able
You must be vivacious
Philanthropy
That’s what we’ve learned
It means be kind, show the love
This is how you ascend above
